I note that D49 has sent two separate Level One Notices of Concern to the Banning Lewis School Board where D49 specifically calls out failures of the Board.
Of note, an interesting timeline has been observed.
1. May 2-6 Board Elections
2. May 17th - Tuesday - Board election results vacated
3. June 6th - Tuesday Special Board meeting where appointments were considered and made.
4. June 7th - Tuesday Notices of Concern are sent to the Banning Lewis School Board, one of which involved the election process
5. June 9th - Thursday The District 49 School Board meeting was held where a concerned parent spoke at the public meeting and spoke frankly to the D49 Board.
6. June 11th - Saturday - The Banning Lewis School Board President reviewed the D49 school board meeting. Something which this Board refuses to do even after repeated requests from the community. A lengthy response was sent to D49 which included a portion of the events.
Specific Questions to the Board
1. Why do you feel comfortable reviewing recordings of D49 meetings when you refuse to record your own meetings?
2. Why do you feel that your response to D49 was fully contextualized given that there is a recording and video of the Banning Board meeting?
3. Why does the Board feel that community stakeholders do not deserve answers to very specific questions, yet when questioned by the Authorizing Agency the Board will spend their time on the weekend to provide half truth and partial answers?
4. Was the Board planning on notifying the Community that D49 has sent these Level One Notices of Concern identifying failures of this Board?
5. How many other Notices of Concern has the Banning Lewis Board received since the Charter was approved.
6. Does the Board plan on making public the responses to D49?
I await your response.
